YOUR COMPASSIONATE BADASSERY SUPERPOWER IS: CURIOSITY

Your super strength is all about being open to new ideas and experiences.

Curiosity can be underrated, but it's a wonderfully helpful strength! Curious people help power transformation. You might use your strength to learn a cutting-edge approach to serving your community, to stay open minded while talking with someone who has a different perspective, and to seek out experiences that will enrich your life and those around you.

Research on the benefits of curiosity have found that it's reliably linked to satisfaction with life. Curiosity also is associated with happiness, health, longevity, and positive social relationships. Curious people are more attracted to activities that offer opportunities for growth, competence, and higher levels of stimulation. Thus, they are likely to report having personal goals aimed at self-improvement.

Want to practice compassionate badassery? Lean into your curiosity and consider how you approach your work. Could there be another way, one that goes against the norm, and brings you deeper satisfaction?

YOUR NEXT STEPS

People with the strength of curiosity may find that they feel different or lonely sometimes. Maybe your desire to keep learning, to explore the complexity of a situation, or to go deep isn’t always welcome!

Everyone needs a group of people who understands them and has their back as they open themselves up to growth and new experiences. Do you have that kind of support?

Your self-care may also need to include pushing back on outside pressure to hurry up and be more productive. Allow yourself the time you need to explore life at pace that’s meaningful to YOU.

To do that, you may need to go against the norm of “being a good helper.” Stay curious about what you happens when you follow your gut.
